Planning in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (PAIR) is a student research conference devoted to promote research approaches on planning, artificial intelligence and robotics. The main of this forum is to foster discussion for research streams of masters and phd students from the Czech basin and to provide opportunities for broadening horizons and develop cooperation between particular geographically close departments.

The main motivation is to provide different insights into the problems of artificial intelligence and robotics, where it is possible to find problems related to the hardware robot design and also approaches, which are very close to be experimentally verified.  A combination of such approaches in a joint context can enhance quality of the results and support more challenging scientific challenges of both approaches.  Although an ideal synergy in the way of an application of the new method to a particular robot can be achieved probably only in rare cases, such combination and information sharing can be beneficial  for the approaches being developed in Czech research laboratories to find possible experimental  domains for verification of new algorithms or created supporting structures. Least but not last, this event can be source for new suggestions and features for newly designed robots to try new technologies which can bring new added value to the studied problems.

The conference is open to submissions of students papers described their research topics related to artificial intelligence and robotics, with particular emphasize to planning issues.

Submissions

Submitted papers should be 4-8 pages in length in the ActaPolytechnicaTemplate LaTeX style. All accepted and presented papers will be published in the Acta Polytechnica CTU Proceedings, whenever it will be possible, i.e., the authors agree with the publication. Submissions must be made electronically as a single Portable Document Format (PDF) file via the workshop submission site at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=pair2015 . Accepted submissions will be publicly available if possible.

Each submission will be reviewed by at least two reviewers and about 10 to 15 high quality papers relevant to the conference theme will be selected for an oral presentation. In a case of a high number of submissions a poster session would be considered. There is not any registration fee and participation on the conference is free of charge.

Final camera-ready papers

After the review, the accepted papers will be presented at the conferences and authors will be asked to prepare a camera-ready version of the papers that will be published in the Acta Polytechnica CTU Proceedings. In this case, full sources of the paper in the proceedings template are required to be submitted to the organizers.
