The Centre for Robotics and Autonomous Systems (CRAS) is a research unit at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FEE), Czech Technical University. The unit fosters inter-departmental collaboration on research and education in the area of computational, collective, humanoid, collaborative, autonomous robotics and related fields.
The main mission of CRAS is to mediate robotic and related research at the FEE to public and provide a single contact point inside the faculty. In additional, it also aims to provide a platform to address challenging research and scientific problems that are at the frontiers of the scope of individual departments. Expertise from various research fields improves to address the interdisciplinary nature of the robotics and allows to find unique solutions in a wide range of possible application scenarios where approaches from robotics and artificial intelligence may provide new quality to real-life problems.
The center has been established in April 2015 by the founding departments of Computer Science and Cybernetics.
